Tools Needed
Everyone has a built in knowledge director called prayer with God. We all pray in some ways but prayer is the key to understanding. If you want the best tool then pray.
There are other tools that are important. If you have time find a serious set of old dictionary books. Preferably one where they are around 1900 or a little before. Most of our words still exist then and though we add many they have roots that go back to our days of yore.
Believe it or not we live in an age where we have begun to cast off truth. We had stories which everyone believed in the years before 1900 but we came along and we’ve started removing things because we don’t have things in front of us. So know that words are the set of things which are and will be.
Another good bit of help is a dictionary thesaurus. Find one with as many words as possible. Rhymes in words are important to help us find origin of words. You would be surprised at how God makes us see that certain words have a curtain to their name only if the fact around them ceases. So if tain is a mystery word it is because it is something that came out of China. And it is a mystery of time and life for all of us on earth.
Of course there is the Net but I cover that in Etymology links. I also know if you are on the net, which is pretty likely if you are reading this, that word origins are often covered in Wickipedia or if you search hard in Google. There are also online dictionaries which help you find truth as it should be.
Lastly try keeping a notebook of favorite words and word origins. Do your own search and if you feel there is more there probably is. Some words don’t stop until you find they mix and match with everything under the sun. So have fun and never give up for in words is a search that takes you around the globe, to the moon, to the Mars city, to a planet called Mer and to things so wild you’ll be wondering if you really are on a planet called Earth.
